All members of the health system should have a clear idea about suicide in order to prevent it and intervene when necessary Primary health care workers who have the most sincere contact with the population should be trained in this trend. They should know the following facts about suicide and help their clients by preventing it . Suicide is preventable .

 

The presence of both alcoholism and depression in an individual enormously increase the risk of suicide. The suicide risk also increases in painful and chronic conditions.
They should also know that the main recourses which primary workers should follow are :
commitment ,sensitivity , knowledge and concern for another human being , the fact that life is worth nurturing .
By These instruments one can help to prevent suicide.
