This article deals with recent developments in health psychology. In the last two decades, cooperation between psychology and medicine has increased. This cooperation has encouraged research activities and provided further support for the bio-psycho-social approaches to physical illness.

This approach concern health and its impairments. There are many publications in this field, along with special associations and new specialized journals like “Health Psychology” and “Psychology and Health”.
Furthermore, there is an increment in the number of seminars as well as psychological programmers for courses in health education and primary prevention.
